I kind of feel the way I felt about the “Ocen Gate” project. I know nothing about deep sea diving but I felt like the guy building that thing didn’t know much more than me. Same with these AI tools that tell you what you want to hear and nothing else. Not all AI is equal but these are just bad.

I am moving at the beginning of May. I need $900 to help with April bills and another $4800 or so to pay security deposit and first months rent at the new place. Deadlines are quickly approaching and I am tapped out with the amount of work I can take on. Help is greatly appreciated.

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and it’s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.

On Monday I sent a plea to the client who owes me $24k for months and months of work, owed to me since September, saying that if they do not pay me by the end of the month I will lose my apartment and that they should show some humanity and pay the invoice They of course have not paid the invoice

I never finished my tale of Circadia, not just because I can't say it in words (it was going to be mostly illustrations, when I still could paint daily), but also because it's difficult to follow a "non classical" path of storytelling and stay compelling for others.

I’m looking for work again, being not-so-slowly replaced by ChatGPT, and feeling unusually despondent about this time because what little there is out there is merely computer bullshit or ways to flatter rich people, which I’ve never had the talent in. This is the first time I’ve been scared 🫤

The people who shape opinion in mainstream media are mostly from the upper middle and wealth classes. They got there because of nepotistic privilege and they keep their jobs, and make more money, because they tell the wealthy what they want to hear, even as that becomes more and more fascistic.
