Ian Fraser@ianfraser.bsky.social · 2mo agoReturning from the Nato Summit in Turkey, Trump used a planeload of reporters as an unwitting decoy during a severe assassination threat, subpoenaed journalists who reported something was amiss, then stood up at a black-tie dinner and told those same journalists they’re lucky he puts up with them.
I also think the comparison of vaccine hesitancy, as a consequence of misinformation, with hesitancy around antiretrovirals for HIV is extremely apt given the terrifying parallels between what's happening in the US now vs South Africa's murderous descent into AIDS denialism 20 years ago
