I broke down and watched Masters of the Universe because I wanted to see it but I didn’t pay to see it in the theater so I’m justifying it. I have some thoughts. I don’t see anyone talking about it this way, so here goes (spoilers ahead) I loved it.

Increasingly clear to me that we're seeing the inevitable end point of casualisation in HE. Treating all academics as transferable or disposable is easy for management to follow because it's just an extension of how ECRs have been treated for years already.
