Money out of politics absolutely. But labor unions and social movements need to move away from politics. Millions of workers investing themselves in a relative few politicians diminishes our power. Elections cannot be the total means to our end.

When unions go all in for electoralism as the route to progress, they inevitably catch the moral rot of the corporatists buying said elections. It's a Faustian Bargain that ultimately marginalizes the proletariat. It's union busting by a different name.

Sotomayor, who handles emergency applications from New York, gave no explanation and did not refer the request to the full court. The case was dismissed in 2016 for lack of U.S. jurisdiction, but Congress passed a 2019 law designed to revive such claims against Palestinian bodies. The Supreme Court upheld that law in 2025, allowing an appeals court to reinstate the award. The PA and PLO warned that enforcement could cripple already-fragile government services in the occupied West Bank, including schools, sanitation and security, particularly if plaintiffs seek Palestinian tax revenues collected and withheld by Israel.

When we say that the Israeli gov is cruel at its core, and that it in fact finds joy in its cruelty, we are talking about things like wishing to surround Palestinian prisoners with literal crocodiles. There is no end to this if Israel itself never faces political and economic consequences.
