Uber Eats and DoorDash hid tip buttons and set default tips below 10%. As a result, tips for delivery workers fell 79%.  In January, we made these corporations change their apps — and in the past six months, we've put $104 million back in delivery workers' pockets.  This is only the beginning.

Yesterday PBOT presented to the Public Works Committee regarding Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) in Portland. Key takeaways: 1. Over ⅓ of those who gave public comment are concerned about labour impacts 2. Over ½ are concerned about safety impacts 3. PBOT was asked to work on an ordinance

Portland City Council unanimously passed an ordinance to create a Drivers' Resource Center to provide culturally competent support to Uber & Lyft drivers in our greatest moments of need. Whether it be a wage complaint, deactivation, or outreach & education. This is just THE BEGINNING!

Uber & Lyft charge riders different prices for the same ride, and riders have no idea this is happening....UNTIL NOW! Consumer Reports just released another banger of a study where volunteers from across the nation ordered the same rides at the same time. www.consumerreports.org/money/questi...

Consumer Reports found Uber and Lyft use algorithmic pricing to give different consumers very different prices for the same rides.

BREAKING NEWS! The Driver Resource Center ordinance passed Portland City Council committee vote 5-0! Now it will go to full Council. 1 step closer to the in-language, in-person support hub for Uber & Lyft drivers. Thanks to the City Life members & our Council champs for your support & engagement!

We're back at it again! Had an informative conversation with the Committee on City Life on why Portland riders & drivers deserve Fairness in Rideshare. Together we will pass fair pay for drivers, protections from rider price gouging, and fare transparency. The legucation continues. #sharethefare

BREAKING NEWS: HB 4085, which would've allowed dangerous, unpopular, job-killing robovehicles into our state in 2026 IS DEAD! Community members have spoken, and this bill missed the mark on so many levels. Oregonians don't need AVs, Waymo, Lyft & Uber do! 💙✊🏿🤍✊️🖤✊🏻💙✊🏿🤍✊️🖤✊🏻 #saynotowaymo

The force that teargassed workers, families, children, and elders who were peacefully protesting is the same force that has kidnapped sick kids and murdered two Minneapolis neighbors on our streets. We can’t appeal to the moral conscience of a system that has none. We have to win.

Trump's ICE has no place in Oregon. The use of tear gas against families, children, and peaceful demonstrators yesterday is a horrific abuse of authority that undermines public safety and violates constitutional rights. Federal agents must stand down and be held accountable.

Thousands of demonstrators who marched to the ICE building were met with pepper balls and tear gas within minutes of their arrival.

Our driver community has been targeted nationally & even just recently in Portland. Today union & community members demonstrated peacefully against ICE. Unfortunately we were assaulted by federal agents. How can you shoot tear gas & flashbang grenades at kids & pets?! This will not stand! #iceout
