I've picked up FFXIV again, I had to make a new account since my old one has an expired 2fa and I have different legal documents than when I registered it years and years ago. Anyway, all this to say that I am doing an adventuring journal that I may post later. I've got a fun conceit for it.

Where are my nuclear reactors? Where are my 20-story mixed-use blocks with shops and restaurants on the bottom and housing on the top? Where are my central heating plants? Where are my no-till polyculture regenerative agriculture farms?

BTW, nuclear is THE most environmentally-friendly power source. Hydroelectric disrupts aquatic ecosystems, wind turbines kill birds and create lots of waste in the form of worn-out fiberglass blades, solar panels require lots of nasty mining, etc.

Stepped outside to go to my surgery appointment and immediate sunshower, the clouds rolling in as I get closer. Would be a much more concerning omen if I wasn't aligned with rain and darkness.

I do really wanna hear from people that have finished reading A Wolf Age what they think of what happens to Rico. The character went from being intended as "Amuro Rittenhouse" who would die a couple chapters in to being the center of one of the main storylines in the book also changed pronouns.
