We currently cannot get past the AI "receptionist" of our dermatologists phone line. It consistently hears our last name wrong, even when we spell it out, so we cannot correct it, and it will not link us to the correct account or patch us through to a person to clear things up. It is a roadblock.
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak
Naturally to write the scenes that take places within the Exocoetus, I had to design the ship
Do not messe wyth writers. Thei are the kyndeste and meanest and weirdest folk on Earthe. Thei kan create a person yn a second, or make a partye be rememberid for two thousande years. Thei kan stitch and unstitch worldes. Thei give names to emociouns we do not yet understande. Odd people, mightye.
@danaenight.northsky.social, you released four chapters tonight? Four?! Are you MAD?!?* (*no, you are amazing and delightful, and we've done similar things, but know: this was not expected!) www.scribblehub.com/series/24236...

Ah yes
Finally for today, have you heard of mechsploitation but though it was all scary and A Bit Much? Well in @ela-bambust.bsky.social's Nexus Alpha, the action is pulpy and the sex (a lot) is all fun and consensual. And then you get hit in the face by fact this is still a hellish corporate dystopia.
Ela has incredible range so there's almost certainly at least one of her books for you, but if you're looking for specifics I'm sure I have a prior recommendation for Nexus Alpha around here somewhere...
Hey y'all! I've got some extra costs coming in this month and it would mean a lot if you could grab this bundle or one of my other books! Word of mouth is everything for artists so signal boosts aren't just welcome, they're how I make rent and groceries!
A different kind of disney princess (animation)
No cheating, post your lock screen! art by us. Goreth flying above a purple forest in the Sunspot, watch the sunhatch.
No cheating, post your lock screen! I’ve been using @rednflynn.bsky.social art for my phone backdrop for like, three years now?
It's #Smaugust which means you are legally required to be nice to me
The little weasel visited Plover Town, carrying a sack of shellfish to sell 🐚
We’ve also got Portland Bunyan but he’s got a weird smarmy half-asleep attitude around kaiju from any other part of the state. He yawns without breaking eye contact while you’re talking and insists that he has “the only tacos that matter” and I’m standing in line at Los Temos like what the fuck dude
Of course we’ve got the Pioneer at the capital, but all the other kaiju think he sucks
This is the Black Bird’s mortal enemy, Harvey of the North
Oregon doesn’t have a lot of kaiju but at least we got these two protecting(?) our fruited land of action
Hold on. We've gotta put our hand inside the puppet head.
We're listening to TMBG's album Demo Tape. It feels like listening to divine music history. Like it will retroactively give us an A in a long lost college class we took. They also sound just like our favorite local band.
Also not forgetting the lovely BIPOC Sex Workers who helped make it happen. As “distasteful” as many consider them, Sex Workers, like Furries and Trans folks, are often signs of a healthy online ecosystem, since they embrace bodily autonomy and all that entails. Also, there’s a lot of crossover. ❤️
That said, let us take a moment to thank our Bluesky Trans and Furry Elders for freaking out Jack Dorsey so much he bolted and left us this nice social media playground, taking most of his crypto chuds with him. We thank you for your service.
"perfect" is fear disguised as discipline. It will never be perfect. It will eventually be Good Enough because good enough is negotiable.
A memory of high school was my father trying to sell me on going to Penn State by taking a trip there during which he endlessly emphasized the athletic facilities and the HUB. He ended up frustrated that my concern was "what's their CS program?" unable to grasp why that would matter more to me.
the obsession with trans women in sports is, apart from the abject bigotry, a symptom of how we take amateur sports participation way too seriously in this country.
Thing our sillier girlfriend* just said: "Oh! That's not barf! That's just a leaf. Ick!"
This is such a bizarre complaint because every single writer I know, including myself, can barely shut up about writing And the ones who don't welcome new writers into the community tend to be the ones nobody likes to hang out with in the first place
Seeing complaints online that authors 'gatekeep' information…! Absolute nonsense. There is no industry or craft in the world which is so comprehensively written about, studied, and discussed as fiction writing, and every author I know welcomes new writers who are serious about giving it a go.
Over on tumblr, answering a question, we came up with a statement about our writing that we kind of like, so we're putting it here: Our ideal audience is us, whether we're found in this brain or someone else's.

This is a really powerful article and I encourage you to read it. Trans history is too often missing or destroyed. This story gave me hope—queer people in even darker times finding inspiration and family with their peers.
"the fact that the group came together in solidarity at all [..] signifies a big shift in how trans people saw themselves. They weren’t freaks or weirdos or medically afflicted; they were part of an oppressed class" In the 1890s! www.lgbtqnation.com/2026/07/a-se...
May as well "quote post" with "tags" to expand my "reach," as it were. Thank you deckblue for letting me separate them from the body text.
It's the beginning of the wet season. In the dark, something haunts the frontier. Something hungry. Strange things stalk the treeline in the world of 𝐶𝑎𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑑𝑒, my new comic! I hope you enjoy this 28 page pilot, and all that's to come! And remember, 𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑟. (1/8, pp. 1-3)
