I see the case for trading Heliot Ramos and I think it makes some sense (obviously depending on the return), but I love him and I would hate it, so the Giants shouldn’t do it.

As somebody who went to business school, I think a big part of the disconnect between economists and the public on the state of the economy in the US is the failure of most indices to capture the increase in the price of goods that make up higher percentages of expenses for lower-income people.

I kinda think if the giants trade Heliot Ramos I’m never coming back. I still haven’t watched a pitch, now it’s been almost a month. It’s not even a judgment on what I think the giants should do, he’s just the last player I really care about left.

I’ve watched at least 100 giants games every year since I got mlb.tv in… I think 2008? I haven’t watched a single pitch of giants baseball in 18 days and I don’t know if I’m coming back. It’s not even a statement, it just doesn’t feel good to watch anymore.

I’ll be honest, it had not occurred to me until now that Ryan Walker must have been a giant for other pride nights before this year.

This is going to end pride nights in baseball, and probably other sports as well, and Landen Roupp et al will come out believing they were the ones discriminated against because they got verbal warnings for violating an established, written policy.

I was sticking around with the giants being this bad but the pride night thing checked me out IMMEDIATELY. I haven’t even thought about turning on a game since then, and I used to schedule my life around the giants schedule.

I wonder how many Bible verses we’ll see from Landen Roupp in objection to wearing Airwallex on his uniform. I’m sure I could come up with some.

To be honest, I am just sad about the giants defacing pride caps. Doubly so as a queer Christian. Hard to say anything about it that doesn’t feel futile.

So what happens if Hyeseong Kim makes the all star game and isn’t on the major league roster? I’m sure that won’t happen but this has to be about as close as we’ve ever come
