How is it that this country was so easy to ruin? Does our Constitution mean absolutely nothing? Do laws only pertain to those who don't break them? How did we loose so much, so rapidly. Checks & balances don't exist. It baffles the fuck out of me that this country went down so fast- and so easy.

I had a schoolmate (from a “Christian” family) spread rumors after the fact like “Muslim women told their husbands to stay away from the twin towers that day”. He would eventually go into the army where I’m sure he committed many war crimes. This myth of a “united post-9/11” America is just that.

It really did! It was shameful in so many ways. I feel like the American 9/11 destroyed any veneer of the nation as a beacon of peace and democracy. We’re just thugs and bullies now…
