Our political reality is an uncanny metaphor for pro wrestling. AOC/Bernie/Mamdani/DSA = Faces Rethugs/MAGAts = Heels Establishment “centrist” Dems = Jabronies SCOTUS = Referees on the take who look the other way when the heels cheat but force the faces to follow the rulebook to the letter
Also, if you claim to be defending said right but don’t actually pass any laws defending it, you can raise a ton of campaign money fearmongering over the growing threat of the right being taken away.
