Every time I order stationary from the JerPens website: JetPens: Your order will take about two weeks. No gurantees though. JetPens, 1 day later: Your order is being prepared, no guarantees, though. JetPens, 3 days later: Your order has been delivered. Seriously, every time.

New idea just dropped: a cat library. Like a cat cafe, but with books. Read your library book with a cat in your lap.
I captured a timelapse as I arranged, planed, sketched, and finally painted a still life with the beautiful fruits and vegetables I bought from the green market yesterday. #watercolor #stillLive
One of my favorite features of Indian English is the speaking rate. It’s (usually) much faster than any other variant I know and frankly I find this very friendly for my ADHD brain. Much easier to pay attention when someone speaks at that rate.
That took all afternoon and I’m really pleased. I did a bunch of preliminary sketches. I also ser up a timelapse so once I figure out a good place to post it, I’ll share that. This is probably the most complicated thing I’ve painted so far. #watercolor #stillLife #produce
I confess I bought all this fruit and produce because it looked good to paint. It also looks good to eat but that’s secondary. #watercolor #stillLife
I had an AuDHD joke but hey did you know that there are operating systems in your CPU? Here’s how they work! Wait what was I saying again
i had an adhd joke
Some fountain pen sketches from the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race today. I drew these quickly while watching the TV coverage. #f1 #hungarianGP #penAndInk
Flat white at La Lucha coffee in Noe. I picked up a watercolor pencil to sketch the outlines following what I’ve seen in James Gurney’s live painting videos. I like the effect. #urbansketch #watercolor
On good days, I think skills are docs; on bad days, I think docs are executable code. I only know you need someone who knows how to put together powerful spells using English.
that way, your daily life can be planned around the rise and fall of the sun, in a way we more or less become aligned with nature
I think we should live on a dual time system: for things that require worldwide or extra-local coordination, we should use metric time (a la .beat time), for everything else, we should segment the world into geographical equal sized hexagons of daily meridian time that devices sync to as you travel
timezone talk is crankbait, with means I love it. tell me all your craziest shit
A good illustration of why it's important to reject the "common-sense" impulse to treat art, however disturbing or objectionable its content, as evidence of IRL criminality on the artist's part.
this really is baffling, it's incredibly difficult to read Piers Anthony and think anything but "please check this man's hard drive" and yet, not a single whisper IRL that I know of props for putting it all on the page (?) I guess (??)
I'm home after a 2 week vacation in the UK, and for no praticular reason I decided not to Post Through It. Today, I scanned a bunch of sketches I did during the trip. I'll do some kind of combined blog post with them soon. Jet lag is hitting me hard though.
When I was in my 20s, I had a spirtual teacher and friend who said that part of our job on earth was to fight the evil dead, which was a provocative way of saying that there were ideas from the past that, even if they were good in their time, were now evil, and we had to fight them
lots of people say you should go to a "top school" to meet smart people. not true. smart people are everywhere. what's unusual about is that they have many smart people who are well adjusted.
SoftBank’s investor presentation is one of the greatest things ever made. I’ve been thinking about it all day. These are the real slides shown in a speech where Masayoshi Son said he wouldn’t retire for at least another decade. The goose stuff is truly demented. Bravo group.softbank/media/Projec...
I have a work trip to Bangalore coming up later this summer. On the one hand, it’s a lot of flying time to spend not even a whole week there. On the other hand, idly and dosa for breakfast for almost a whole week.
Did you know there are multiple puffing cams available right now from both sides of the Atlantic ocean? The National Trust in the UK has one and the Audubon society has one in the Americas. Super cute. Mr Dys keeps putting them on and its very soothing.
Those Prime Day art supply “deals” are often offbrand junk and you can find better quality for less elsewhere. Please support independent art shops where you can. merriartist.com and jerrysartarama.com often beat Amazon prices on name brand supplies and you won’t be financing Bezos
I watched the first two episodes of Widow’s Bay and it is just too scary for me. “Comedy horror” and New England setting intrigued me, but the balance of scary to funny is more than I like. I can see why people like it. Just not for me, though.
Instead of painting my coffee as usual, I painted my croissant instead. #watercolor #urbansketching #SanFrancisco #croissant
A watercolor sketch of the counter at Simple Pleasures Cafe on Balboa Street in San Francisco. I deliberately simplified the palette and I kind of like the effect. #watercolor #urbansketching #SanFrancisco
I’ve been practicing drawing my cat while she naps and am slowly getting better. Last night I got a sketch I’m really happy with. For comparison, I’m also including some of the earlier attempts. #PenAndInk #cat #art
