We’re going to keep adding horror to every other movie genre like how you hybridize crops for survival. Eventually we will see the revival of the previously extinct romcom and buddy comedy genres exclusively through grafting and selective breeding.

totally agree with this, especially in regards to my last post about noclipping as a mechanic in games. this is also one of the reasons why i decided to go to grad school instead of join the haunted ps1 devs back in 2019… not sure if the decision has turned out well for me lol

out of curiosity, anyone have early examples of digital games where players have to noclip as part of the core experience? having a hard time finding anything before 2018 e.g. meteor-strike!, museum of the saved image so not sure if that's when it started becoming a thing?
