I think a lot of folks took the fear they felt at that time and it spun into religious fanaticism bc that's where folks tend to turn when they're afraid of something so big and unknown. Then add in the cognitive decline and and entire populace was ripe for evangelism.
I'd say huge. Bc I think for the first time in a VERY long time (if ever) this entire nation felt a level of existential fear that it never had. Millions were dying, illness could've meant death for anyone, and you were terrified of something "invisible".

Knicks won, crime is down, 2,000 toddlers are going to school for free, parents got “date night” with nyc babysitters, they’re building housing on city land, small businesses are saving money and selling ice cream. Its sunny out i should go get one.

My guess it's because it polls show her beating the Republican. Black ppl are pragmatic voters. There is no reason the Dems shouldn't win the Senate.
