The unusual tracery in the Bishops eye window in Lincoln Cathedrsl resembles two leaves and was re- built in 1330. It contains randomly arranged fragments of medieval glass from windows smashed by Cromwell’s soldiers in 1644 . #StainedGlassSunday

"Receive what you are: the body of Christ." I love these words for the distribution of communion, and will be using them tomorrow. And trying very hard to avoid repeating the previous incident in which I somehow managed to come out with: "You are what you eat: the body of Christ."

If you're a praying person, I'd appreciate prayers for discernment following an unexpected nudge towards something simultaneously terrifying and intriguing. Not yet sure whether it's a God-given nudge... thank you. ✝️

Built for people long forgotten, now called Hetty Pegler’s Tump remembering a seventeenth century landowning woman, and, judging by the flickering candle in the heart of the chamber and the rich smell of incense in the air, still very much a place of gathering and commemoration five millennia later.
