On Sunday I led 20 artists into the woods to draw charismatic dancer/actor Clay in the sunshine. So naturally rain started bucketing down half an hour before... One of my favourite comics and a superb film! I find it hard to believe people think it's dark or downbeat... It's about that hormonal teenage period when you have to make big decisions after high school and you yearn for culture, adventure, experience beyond homogeneous hometown confinement.

I really hate the “I don’t owe anyone anything” mentality because we actually owe each other and this planet a lot. You don’t have to be selfless all the time or burn yourself out but you should be kind and helpful and compassionate to the best of your ability. We need to care about each other more

some tips for actually doing this: -shitty is better than incomplete -you are the ONLY one who can do what YOU'RE doing -people LOVE seeing the artist's hand in their work, esp in the age of genAi -the more you say "this sucks," the more you believe it. the opposite is also true
