All the people who are anti-Chadley or want to mute Chadley, I have one question: If Chadley disappeared tomorrow, could you still get through Final Fantasy VII without him or the Chadley menu? Imagine Chadley was suddenly banned. Would you actually be willing to give him up?

Thinking about the future of Switch hardware kind of excites me. :) I think the Switch will always be a gen or two behind current home consoles in terms of performance, but also generational leaps matter less with time and I think I just won't give a shit about the differences at a certain point.

Some of these AAA gaming buyouts where an entity buys a company for an amount of money that's worth literally decades of their profits are just baffling to me. I wouldn't support the Saudi EA buyout even if it was like sustainable, but it seriously looks like they'll be ran into the ground by it.

It's crazy how like what little revenue AI companies seem to be making is mostly them just cycling money between each other for different bullshit.

That whole last thread is to say I think it's really funny when trans women go "mmph... wait, but we're both girls!" because the idea of exploring your identity enough to be very out as a trans woman but having a strong sense that being gay is taboo is so funny and kinda foreign to me.

I'm always kinda surprised when I hear about a trans person struggling to come to terms with being gay or bisexual or some other queer sexuality.

Gun to my head, I'll admit that, yeah, Chrono Trigger is actually an excellent game and an all timer. I just get grumpy when people talk about it like it's the only good jrpg or like nothing will ever be better than it

CT is one of my favorite games of all time but yeah, I get it. A lot of western gamers can be really weird and low key condescending when it comes to talking about ARPGs that I really don't see in any other genre. It would be like saying the only good first person shooter was Half-Life or something

Sometimes I wish more games made it possible to render the gameplay and UI at separate resolutions. I play on a 4K monitor with a GPU that's more well-suited to 1440p, but I almost never lower the output resolution to 1440p because text scaling is distracting and it fucks with my other monitors.

With GTA VI having a playable female protagonist, I'm hoping that's a sign that the series might finally move on from its Not Great writing of female characters. I don't find GTA's writing of women offensive to an extent that it like really sticks in my mind, but it's a bit of a thing.
