My ancient gaming pc which is more or less a server these days seems to only negotiate 10/10 Ethernet now, so that's fun. Thankfully my doombox of cables/adapters had a USB Ethernet adapter. Not sure I'd ever used it before, but I knew it would become nottage as soon as I threw it out.

One of the worst things side effects of transmisogyny, imo, is the fact that due to so few people sticking up for transfemmes when the chips are down, we routinely accept behavior from our defenders we wouldn’t accept from anyone else, including types of transphobia/racism.

So I ordered 24 bottles of Gatorade to help me get through COVID. It's sugar free so not massively unhealthy in that respect, but I assume consuming this quantity over a few days isn't actually very good for me. Is it possible to overdose on electrolytes? Am I going to die from too much salt?

Today I learned that GCP defaults to allowing *TLS 1.0* on load balancers. If you don't provide an SSL Policy in your API call, if you miss a line in your Terrraform, the default behaviour is to accept *TLS 1.0*, which has been around since 1999 and widely seen as insecure for over a decade 🤯

If you do not choose one of the three pre-configured profiles or create a custom SSL policy, your load balancer uses the default SSL policy. The default SSL policy is equivalent to an SSL policy that uses the COMPATIBLE profile with a minimum TLS version of TLS 1.0.
