My friend Ari and I won second place (while masked!) in a competitive TDOV fashion show as a stylist-model duo! I meant to post these sooner but a bitch was busy getting FFS and recovering 😮‍💨

Now that the Kirk afterglow is fading, it's good to see media outlets reporting on this. This was the bigger story that happened that day. Charlie's neck getting fatally scratched shouldn't have been allowed to be a bigger story than the largest network in the US calling for mass extermination.

Remora House exists because we saw a need & just started doing stuff! You can just do stuff to help each other. Find other people also doing the stuff. Learn from them, don’t reinvent the wheel. But you don’t need anyone to tell you to make a lasagna for your neighbor when they need the support.

In this moment of emergency, a lot of people are realizing that they can just… do things. Without people giving them directions or instructions, people are just showing up to escort their neighbors to school, to cook them meals, to share resources & support.

Media discovering groypers for the first time reminds me of when they first encountered incels. Those of us who study misogyny or followed Gamergate had been screaming about incel culture and violence for years. Coverage of hate groups is far too reactive.

I feel really unseen currently. I don't know if folks see my posts, but I'm disabled, I don't make enough with my current job to survive, and my situation is becoming more dangerous in the current climate. I'm doing everything I can, but I cannot survive without help. 💠 ko-fi.com/therosecleric

It’s a bit demoralizing to have to post on social media like this, but I’ve been in a bad situation for a very long time. I struggle deeply with opening up about my personal life, but I feel like I have to be this vulnerable in order for anyone to understand the gravity of my situation. I have been officially diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, and have spent the past year attempting to recover from CPTSD. In short, I have multiple disorders stemming from multiple traumatic situations and incidents that have occurred to me over the course of my life, but especially in the last decade. Thanks to Medicaid, I am fortunate enough to have 2 different therapists and a psychiatrist. As of today (9/11/2025) I do not wish to share details beyond this. Do not speculate about my personal life. My arthritis has worsened significantly because of the stress I am under. While I am seeking healthcare for this new development, life has become substantially more difficult because of the adjustment to constant pain. I have been at risk of homelessness since July. I have a job, but I do not make nearly enough to support myself through survival. I have been looking for jobs that are accommodating to my disability, with no luck as most of them require relocation or hybrid work environments. I have opened commissions of various types - including video editing, art commissions and tarot readings - but my commissions aren’t consistent enough for me to build a stable income off of. Because of the current administration, it has become more difficult to acquire food. The Big Ugly bill that was passed has put me at risk for having my SNAP benefits taken away. If you know me, I have had to have an additional monthly grocery fund from time to time to buy groceries/cover bills, as I provide food for & cook for my entire household. Until I find stable income, I will likely continue to need assistance like this.

Black trauma is the US norm and after today it’s more than obvious that no one but us sees it, hears it, or cares about it or us regardless of how far and how regularly we fight against it. The US has effectively told us that they’re done and we do not matter. But they’ve always told us that, tbh.
