For writers worried that they won't be able to "prove" their work isn't Spicy Autocomplete--worry not. You thought about every choice and will be able to talk about those choices easily and clearly. Folks who used the slop machine didn't make choices and won't have anything to say about why

part of why I don't like AI is bc it's so often the antithesis of caring for the little things, the appreciation of the mundane, of seeing beauty where others haven't yet been able to, and seeking genuine fundamental understanding all in the name of "get product faster" I find it so disheartening

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

this year i think people are finally going to realise what a major cultural schism the uk north-south divide is. for example, in the south people call late game elemental magic things like "firaga" but up here we just say "fire 3".

It's been seven years since my best friend passed away and I still really miss him. To feel better, I drew his character from his old rpg maker game from when we first met as teens, and Snowe bc SSP wouldn't have happened without his help. I'd like to think he'd have liked my books.

in art circles in jp / chn, artists get referred to as “sensei” / “laoshi”, but we don’t have that in english and we should. but i also don’t really like the way “teacher” sounds in english, so i think we should start addressing all artists as “boss”, like we’re all goons (the normal definiton)
