I keep seeing this trend of parents making play date "business cards" for their young kids to hand out to friends, with the parent's phone #, because their kids don't have their own phones. And I'm like, that's cute, but why is it necessary? Before cell phones, you'd just tell your friend your #.

Nope. Votes aren't love letters. Voting is the CIVIC DUTY of every citizen of a democratic republic, to show up and cast their vote for whichever one of the two viable options presented will govern better going forward. If you need to be "inspired" to vote, you're over-privileged at best.
