Born to be retired. Currently into Macraweave but ask me again next week. Angry with the mess the Tories and Brexit have left us in. FYO: A “Hello dear” DM earns an instant block (every time, as people don’t seem to believe me!)

Many thanks to GB News for helping me undermine the Standards Commission by calling it a kangaroo court. It’s almost as if I asked them to prepare the ground by questioning the commission’s legitimacy, just in time for when I’m found to have broken the rules.

Running around with your friends shouldn't leave you struggling for breath. But for too many of London’s children, polluted air was harming their health. Experts said it would take nearly 200 years to reach legal air quality limits. We did it in nine.

What ULEZ has done for children’s lungs should silence its loudest critics | LBC

Ulez's success must be a call to action to carry on in our efforts to improve the air in the UK, writes London mum and clean air campaigner Ruth.

1/2 The BBC dedicated nearly an hour to broadcasting an empty podium for a Reform UK presser while uncritically relaying unverified welfare policy claims. When a public broadcaster acts as a platform for minor parties, impartiality is dead. Is BBC news impartiality broken?

BBC slammed over pushing Reform UK propaganda yet again

Overly eager to air Reform's latest press conference, the BBC displayed an empty podium for the better part of an hour. What the hell?

Anti-Muslim hate is a poison, fuelled by racist online rhetoric. It destroys lives and leaves people living in fear. A woman shouldn't fear abuse for wearing a hijab. A child shouldn't face hatred because of their faith. The Met has my full support in taking a zero-tolerance approach.

Anti-Muslim hate reports overtake 2023 total - Tell Mama

Between January and June this year, there were 1,031 reports of incidents, a monitoring body says.

Co-opting Christianity as a political weapon to stir up anti-Muslim sentiment is a cynical degradation of faith. Weaponising national identity to divide communities isn't patriotism; it's dangerous opportunism. Faith should build bridges, not fuel hostility. What do you think? 1/2

I just knew we'd get this bollocks. Farage - like the Telegraph- doesn't want progress or anything to improve he just wants Britain to sit in a miserable slump in which he can holler constantly about "migrants" and drink pints in slow motion videos with people who pine for WW2.

We do not build the reservoirs needed to store the rain that falls here. We do not build strategic food reserves needed to maintain provision in hard times. We failed to build effective stores of PPE, to protect us in pandemics. This country has long been governed by people who do not prepare.

Why should France stop the migrants at all if we alienate them? Once they are off their shores they aren't their problem any more and Brexit put paid to the Dublin Accords. That is reality. These people live in a union jack bedecked Cloud Cuckoo Land. news.sky.com/story/politi...

Politics latest: Stand up to France to stop small boats, more Britons say in exclusive Sky poll

More Britons believe efforts to stop small boat crossings are more likely to succeed by standing up to France rather than co-operating, an exclusive poll by YouGov for Sky News has found. While Andy B...

GB News is a straightforward propaganda outlet, Boris Johnson filled the BBC with Tory placemen, and 'regulator' Lord Grade is openly biased in favour of rightwing politicians. Such are the advantages of a free press.
