Full stop No. This is a lie peddled for normalization. It's schoolyard-level pressure tactics "C'mon, all the cool kids are already doing it. We won't tell. It's fine. We're on your side."
I have spent my entire adult life watching women and trans folks quit pathways in STEM because they were assaulted and made to feel unwelcome Those were my friends. My study buddies. My classmates. Gone. Leaving me alone. It is hard on those of us who stay, too. A loss.

the function of ChatGPT isn't *being* correct it's *looking* correct. often the two line up surprisingly well! but sometimes they don't!
This feels existential for US science: To get any future medical research funding, an entire university would need to certify that it won't have programs doing DEIA work (e.g. note-takers for blind students, veteran's support, women's resource groups, etc.) No institution could *ever* comply.
