Platner playing games and waiting until the Monday deadline to file the paperwork to withdraw is totally unacceptable. No reason he couldn’t file it today or tomorrow. He has shown in every conceivable way what a piece of garbage he is. Can’t even get out with any decency.

Another person who is in it only for themselves. If Platner actually held any of the values he professes, he would not hesitate to formally withdraw from the race and throw support behind the newly-chosen Democratic candidate. He's proving his critics correct at every single opportunity.

NBC News confirms the reporting. A reminder that nothing Platner has said or done up until now means he actually has withdrawn, and Dems are largely stuck if he ends up deciding not to by Monday afternoon.
