On the one hand Warren Zevon would have certainly had a big online driven comeback if he'd lived into the 2010s, on the other hand I shudder to think what terminally online Zevon would have turned out like.

I'm watching the Trials and Tribble-ations episode of DS9 and it still astounds me a how good it is and how seamless the merging of the footage is. Still looks light-years better than a lot of the deep fakes and digital necromancy that has been tried in the years since.
