This guy never served. He faked an injury to avoid the draft. None of his children have served. He called those who did serve their country "suckers and losers." He skipped the centenary memorial for servicemen who died in WWI because it was drizzling. This is more than usually repellent.
He is delusional. We need to stop treating him as of he is anything close to normal. He is blatantly living in a different world that the rest of us. He believes his own lies

If you want a senator who's gonna lick some boots, go vote for Rogers. But if you want a senator who's going to stand up to Trump, you've got your option.

In a country with a president who is such a destructive sore loser, politicians who are both helpful and gracious in defeat is a greatly appreciated novelty.
as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.

"Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."
All this just reinforces what a small town crook Trump is. Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre was about finding someone who would dismiss a Special Prosecutor. Trump will fire his way through the DOJ until he finds someone...who will prosecute private citizens because a pool coating is defective.

This is just rank Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism, based on the bigoted idea that there is something inherently scary about a president with the last name "El-Sayed." It is incumbent on all of us to call it out.

I felt so lucky to be retired when it happened. And even luckier that I didn't have to try and qualify for Medicaid.

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion
