Went to parent-teacher night at my kid's middle school this evening and got told that the district is now moving away from technology in the classroom and going back to pen and paper. I love that this excellent news of rebellion came on the same day as Zuckerberg's AI supremacist screed.

I have no doubt Ojai gave it everything they could, but it was just Jackie's time to go. She brought everyone many years of love, hopefully fostering people's love of raptors, and the legacy of several offspring.

This is a very long thread about wildlife rehabbing -- specifically raptors -- in response to a lot of the absolutely insane comments I've seen around the care of Jackie the bald eagle, and hearing about the public harassing the staff, volunteers, and even their families, as Ojai works to save her.
