I’m telling you this as a political scientist. The person who is electable is the one who is elected. This can and does change over time. Any and all speculation about “electability” is either puffery or anxiety and is often both.

The majority of Republicans in Congress voted against confirming Biden’s election, making them in effect the insurrectionary party. The party should change its name.
