I still don't fully get how Christians can support capital punishment. The worst act in human history, the death of Jesus, happened because Rome had capital punishment. If Rome didn't, Jesus would have lived. How is that not preferable?

I don't think the Republican Party can "go back to normal" but if it did, that just means being a vehicle for undermining government and concentrating wealth, enveloped in a bunch of dishonest obfuscatory slop. Why yearn for something to return to the exact thing that fostered it

You know, almost two years later and I'm still not sure why I'm supposed to be angry at the 862,049 Stein voters because they made Donald Trump win but I am supposed to reach across the isle to the 77,302,580 Trump voters who somehow didn't make Trump win despite voting for him.

Had a dream that I was eating dog food. Not once but like routinely, that's what I ate. And I was at the table with my usual kibble when I was like "I don't think I should be eating this. It probably doesn't have all the nutrients I need." I was not a dog in this dream. The brain is so interesting

I'm not sure if the Cornell 7 woman was raped, but even if she wasn't, I don't think lying is the logical conclusion either. It's surprisingly easy to reframe events in your life through a nefarious lens.

Reading about Socrates, apparently he was horrific to look at and was still having kids in his 60s. Unbelievable game. Imagine you're at the bar and a man who looks like a beluga whale hits you with "The only thing I know is I know nothing" and you're just powerless to resist
