Winnipeg. Filmmaker.

he’s gutting the public sector, he’s holding back on pharmacare deals, he tried to pull money out of daycare, he’s letting two-tier healthcare gain a foothold in alberta, and now he’s coming for public healthcare funding too

Planned changes to Ottawa’s Canada Health Transfer could slash more than $50B from public health care over a decade, David J. Climenhaga reports. This article and more at canadahealthwatch.ca #CdnHealth

Gillingham killed the Osborne and River scramble that would work and engineered one that would fail. Same pattern from him over and over. Glad to see the Osborne BIZ reminding everyone that doing it right matters.

Osborne Village BIZ executive director Zohreh
Gervais argues the city tested the concept at the wrong location, because the intersection of King and Bannatyne involves two one-way streets.
"It's not designed to be used with two one-way streets," Gervais said in an interview.
"I'm not surprised. We kind of knew that it would be a failed pilot project because it's set up to fail, putting it at an intersection where it's really suboptimal."

Canadians often talk up their healthcare over their American neighbours, yet continue to elect politicians who actively undermine it. The Canada Health Act is one of the most valuable things we have. Carney is totally flooding the zone right now by the way. A look at the last week or so: 24 Sussex reno, years overdue. Huge nuclear energy announcement. Missing climate targets (!!). Canada-BC MOU. PIPELINE PLAN WITH ALBERTA (!!). WORRYING SENATE REFORMS (!!). Massive submarine decision. NATO.

It's weird that when the Nazi tattoo came up the message was that there was no other candidate to run or time to find one and now there are two who have more experience, less baggage and largely the same positions to fall back on.

Platner is a classic example of a white person coming out of nowhere having zero history of meaningful community work or activism and somehow being given a platform to convince people he's the next great white hope. Who the fuck was this guy before the election cycle? Who are his people?

He lied about every single thing. Everyday. He ran knowing full well who he is while presenting himself as someone else (poorly). He wasted everyone’s time & money & shattered people’s credibility. He used the political process as a vanity project to the detriment of the folks he wanted to represent
