The world is a little less sunny today. RIP, Dolly. 💔 I hoped for better news after the statement a few days ago that she was focusing on her health because she had neglected some things while caring for her husband before he died. Seemed likely given that’s a common thing for caregivers.
This! I struggled so much w later school, thought my ADHD diagnosis in my 30s was the answer. Post-tx, went to uni in my 40s. Mostly excelled but had so much trouble w not really knowing how to study/write, just brute forced through it. Now in my 60s thinking there might be a better answer.

But the fact that I just sort of liked doing things school wanted you to do carried me through for years while I never learned how to work, organize myself, or do things I didn't like.

I am deeply distressed by our government (and our taxpayer money) funding the exploitation of newborns in Guinea-Bissau to serve RFK Jr’s anti-vaccine agenda. You should be too.
And sometimes just functioning is enough of an accomplishment. Give yourself credit for that.
