Scoop: In a private call with top officials, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her lashed at requests to delay a homeless encampment sweep. She attributed her anger to “fuckery” being said about her in public, 3 officials told @axios.com . One state rep logged off in frustration. www.axios.com/local/twin-c...

I've been blocked and had to reroute many runs because of this. A small problem (or not, I could probably use the extra mileage 😁) compared to the many Trevor outlines, but still...I can't imagine it'd be taking so long to address if it was in a different Minneapolis neighborhood.
wrote about a truly nightmarish series of railroad crossings in northwestern minneapolis. in early 2024, one of them was blocked for *194 minutes*. that's long enough to watch the entirety of the odyssey (2026) and then spend 21 minutes googling "anne hathaway oscar odds"
Thanks to capitalism, even the woke gay bar uses sexual harassment as a "funny" excuse to promote themselves. Seems to be an odd double-standard. I can think of other businesses & nonprofits who if they joked like this, it would not be treated the same way.

A Star Tribune spokesman on Wednesday confirmed the company reached a deal with Legacy Investing, the firm that transformed part of downtown’s Sleep Number Building into a data center for artificial intelligence and cloud computing:

Hahaha, sexual harassment! Bluesky decided it is cool to joke about it in this context, because why...female mayor? Because St. Paul city government was a joke to begin with?
"The focus on housing affordability, however, ignores the issue of housing quality. These are not two separate issues, but rather, two sides of the same coin... [low-income famlies] rent or buy homes that are so deteriorated, that they have become “affordable.” progressive.org/op-eds/the-h...

MPHA appears to be misinforming tenants that they were not ultimately responsible for the conditions at Heritage Park properties. What a trash organization. There needs to be tenant advocates on their board. Source: www.minneapolismn.gov/resident-ser... Statute: www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cit...

Purposeful stupidity is contrary to human nature.
Is it reasonable to assume he doesn't trust the voting process in Minnesota, so why would he bother voting here?
Before he can vote for himself in next month’s primary, Mike Lindell needs to register to vote in the state he wants to lead as governor.
Well isn't that grand—Vetaw has repeatedly failed to demonstrate that she cares about her own constituents and community, so she has to ask her colleagues to do so.
Back at it. Vetaw: I want to tell the people in my district that my colleagues care about them. This vote says whether they care about her community. Simply a request to try something and let the results guide us. She wants support.
I wonder, if you polled people, how much extra they would pay each year to have their city *not* be covered in thick, choking wildfire smoke for days at a time. I wonder if that might give you more insight into "willingness to pay" vis a vis climate change than asking in the abstract.

This is dark. And another reason to enact policies targeted at preventing evictions and displacement.
For decades, researchers have linked various forms of poverty to shootings. Now, a recent study revealed that eviction rates are connected to gun violence in Chicago. thetr.ac/SbvAk
The Mpls Fed has repeatedly posted this article, never once acknowledging that maybe, just maybe, they should collect the perspectives of people who are NOT landlords & owners. "CoMmUNitY EnGagEMenT" 🤪 Also, believe it or not, rent stabilization & zoning are not the only housing policy changes.
How are recent policy changes like zoning reforms and rent stabilization affecting Saint Paul’s housing market? Results are mixed, according to data from our new Saint Paul Housing Dashboard—and according to perspectives of property owners and managers. https://bit.ly/4x8zqsl

Ari, a friend of my daughter has been missing since Monday. Please amplify.
Still furious Minneapolis landlords & nonprofits & the politicians they owned pointed to flat eviction numbers to stop rent relief when everyone knew the numbers would rise. Also another example of private charity unable to supplant effective public programs, even when charity super-motivated.
Gift link. From my colleague Cari Spencer: Residents organized to keep their neighbors housed during Operation Metro Surge, and convinced state legislators to pass a rent relief bill in May. Some fear it won’t be enough. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/21/h...
