cover art by Donna A. Black, a collaged horrifying centipede-baby and a series of photos of rural Irish landmarks.
Back cover copy text:

Married couple Celia and Martin are brutally attacked on their drive through the Irish countryside. The attack leaves Celia with a violent schism in her mind, seemingly existing in two places at once: one the “real” world, the other a howling maelstrom of abstract monstrosity.
Of her husband, there is no trace…until weeks later, when Martin is discovered in a hospital for rare and abnormal diseases, his body spliced together with that of an unknown woman.
And they are very pregnant.

#WritersCoffeeClub 24.07 Should a reader be forewarned about any and all erotic content? Eroticism is part of being human. A book aimed at an adult audience may contain it. I do agree with discreetly placed content warnings as they forewarn the reader of any subject that may act as a trigger.

Loved Sébastien Vaniček's directorship and thought the editing was impressive. The previous movie (Rise) entertained more, but didn't stay with me like Burn's seems to be.

Poster for the movie Evil Dead Burn. Profile of a woman's head and shoulders, there are blackened hands around her throat and tilting her head back. She is screaming. There are out of focus flames and ash falling. In the distance, four figures watch her

#PretendPanel Anything that makes a book even more special? I love all that shit. Don't get me wrong, give me workhorse paperbacks that I can chuck in my bag, bend backwards when I read, and use as a coaster for my coffee. But give me something real special too.
