Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

I have spent years working in theatres watching people make magic from nothing. From scraps, from waste, from donated old paint. Making and building anew. Flats and props repurposed. AI isn't the same. A burning of the earth for a facsimile of an idea. An empty, soulless cruelty.
