Delighted our Social Housing Bill passed its Second Reading this week. At its heart are radical reforms to the Right to Buy to protect precious social rented homes and incentivise the building of more of them. The Bill also gives greater protections to tenants who are victims of domestic abuse.

New Homes England and GLA affordable housing data released today shows: ✅ Starts up 26% and completions up 8% on 2024/25. ✅ The highest number of social rent starts since 2010/11. This Labour government is delivering the biggest increase in social and affordable housebuilding in a generation.

This morning, a new, free breakfast club opened its doors at Christ Church C of E Primary School in East Greenwich. It joins existing clubs at Fossdene, Saint Mary Magdalene and St Peter’s in Woolwich providing nutritious meals to children and saving families hundreds of pounds.
