The peak of a musical artists career is being parodied by Weird Al. The peak of being an actors career is doing a scene with a Muppet/Sesame Street character.
I learned so much about the importance of lighting and sound from one (1) year of being part of the tech crew. The actors on stage might get all the attention, but no one can focus on them and their talent if the sound and lighting is off.
