in 2016 Elon Musk said he would build a fully automated factory in Fremont, California for the upcoming Model 3 and he then spent on the order of $2 billion on production lines that didn't work, forcing Tesla to assemble cars by hand in a tent but sure, now he's gonna do it on the moon

Good morning. Had a nice walk yesterday, around the new Takanawa Gateway City area. About 4kms south of where I live. Still lots to be finished there. But much to explore. Here's the new MoN Takanawa:The Museum of Narratives building. See the ALT text for more details. Love and peace ❤️🙏

The MoN (Museum of Narratives) building at the new Takanawa Gateway City development, between Shinagawa and Mita, here in Tokyo. Have watched this development spring up over the last ten years or more. On what used to be a huge railway marshalling yard. Underneath this area they found sections of the embankment of the first railway in Japan, which ran from the redbrick warehouses in Yokohama to Shimbashi. This photo is a panorama merged from four separate vertical photos, made with an infrared converted Nikon D800e camera. I have created my own monochrome Picture Control setting. So the monochrome is done in-camera. I've just stitched the individual photos and added the border in Photoshop.

Micro-Lady Coffee Stand in Hikone on the shore of Lake Biwa. Located at the west exit of Hikone Station. One of the two best coffee spots I visited. (The other being Inoda Coffee Sanjo Branch.) Certainly the most relaxed and enjoyable. Good background music selection (jazz,fusion). #Hikone #Japan

Aside from tar-and-feathering the offending manager if these accusations prove true, I hope that this also sparks some conversation about 理不尽なルール and how being socialized to follow unhinged orders is not only pointless and annoying but dangerous and deadly. This story is just too fucking sad.
