I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. Truly nightmarish “cannot unsee it!” discovery this week: two large parasitized tobacco hornworm caterpillars on one of my backyard tomato plants, eaten (literally) alive from the inside out by wasp larva. Nature is metal! 🤘🐛🐝

I celebrated 250 with a solo amble through hushed wetland woods along the coast of Lake Michigan. Nearby, where cold water lapped the chilly, foggy shore, families geared for sun & swimming pretended it was a raucous summer holiday at the beach. No regrets.

Discovered this dazzling green & gold jewel while watering in the garden yesterday evening. And then, a few moments later, this little bird-poop-like fella, now the 4th ‘pillar chowing down my dill. Monarchs, black swallowtails in the yard—totally chuffed!

I did not realize that a large part of The Onion buying InfoWars was about getting the Sandy Hook families the money they were supposed to have gotten from the lawsuit against Jones, and honestly that's some top-tier human decency right there?

We've sold a LOT of rainbow InfoWars merch (with more to come!) over the last month, since we reached a deal to take over InfoWars with the estate's court appointed receiver. We're giving 100% of proceeds so far to the families via whatever mechanism the court allows.

The Onion doesn’t yet have permission to publish under the Infowars brand, and Jones is fighting the takeover in court. Nevertheless, The Onion plans to launch its new version of Infowars on July 2, CEO Ben Collins wrote in a staff memo shared with MS NOW. The new website and social media channels will feature original programming, including a parody of Jones’ old show, and will route more than $100,000 to the Sandy Hook families, an initial payment drawn from rainbow-colored Infowars merchandise The Onion has sold in anticipation of its takeover.
