Unapologetically defying pithy description. Salty we’re having to start over. Again. Shouting love, kindness, sass, and swears into the void…along with cat pics, knitting, and occasional “Story Time”. Dem, T1D, ADHD, she/her (🚫TERFs, 🚫MAGA)

Our society believes: - men are people - men have agency (unless they have raped/ abused women/children, in which case they were compelled by their nature/ the victim) - women are possessions/ entitlements/ holes - women lack agency (unless we are blaming them for rape/ abuse committed by men)

We need to rephrase the whole discussion in terms of hazardous products, instead of "minds". And then we need to make sure that there's liability. A model hacks someone? Put a C-suite guy in jail. A model produces sexual harassment material? Put a C-suite guy in jail. Watch how fast things get safe

New just now in The Atlantic: David Robinson resigned this week. He was among the longest-tenured employees at OpenAI—and oversaw safety reports on 12 frontier launches. He is very worried: “The time for trial and error is over.” You can read his essay here: www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

i hope that men notice how whenever a rape story gets widespread coverage, women use it as an opportunity to vent about how fucking disgusting we think many of you are and how many have made our lives measurably worse, and take a few moments to deeply process that.

My teen came home from school rage-crying. A friend of hers — whose parents are unsupportive bigots — had gone to live with “more supportive” grandparents. They’ve just learned she was then shipped to a conversion therapy camp in Nevada.

Where is the ballyhooed life ruining I hear so much about? You know, where we can’t possibly deal with sexual assault (on campus or anywhere else) because it will RUIN men’s lives? Well, I have a proposal. Stick with me.

Fucking thank you. It's time for the patriarchy to stop gaslighting society about rape culture. Rape culture is the law of the land. Men in college gang rape all the time & it's an open secret on campus & the victim is a shunned pariah. Rape is the rule from the highest halls of power to the gutter.

If you want to understand how Jeffrey Epstein was able to abuse so many just read about the fraternity brothers in the group chat who knew what was happening and chose to say nothing.

I have blamed The agents That hacked Your website And which You probably Reasonably thought I controlled Forgive me I am rich And unaccustomed To taking responsibility

Had to frog a week’s worth of knitting (booooo!) 🧶 Clearly, bottom-up knitting (esp: w/ a stitch pattern) is not for me. Ebony, however, enjoyed nesting in (and tangling) the yarn. Here he is sulk-napping after I rudely disentangled him

Behold! A sulking black hole.

A black cat is curled in a ball napping. He is facing to the left with his ear in the 12:00 o’clock position.
He is draped with a mess of rosy-mauve yarn that was just ripped back from my knitting.

The trellis-pattern vest-to-be sits next to him.

A reminder that the Kennedy Center isn’t just a performing arts center, it’s a memorial to President John F. Kennedy and only an evil vindictive vile weak depraved narcissistic pathetic subhuman would spend every waking day trying to deface it and completely destroy it out of spite and jealousy.

I try to stay informed, but “The thought leader in AI safety that all the tech bros idolize is a Harry Potter fanfic writer who started a sex cult and thinks AI will kill us all but only in the one specific way he imagines so that’s the only thing we should focus on” has broken me. I quit.

Who wants to bet that in this context “forced” Includes “on a dare”? “You see, your honor, I wasn’t gonna rape a goat, but then my friend double dog dared me! I was FORCED into bestiality.” “Well then: case dismissed. Proceed directly to Quantico.”
