The Bonnie Doon Community League is whining about proposed bus rapid transit on Whyte / near the University. They've now turned off comments after I praised BRT, so possibly not so eager to hear people speak up after all. Survey link: bit.ly/4nXdDiV. Go be enthusiastic about curb-running BRT lanes!

A Facebook post from the Bonnie Doon community League with a map showing proposed BRT route. Text reads "Edmonton's BRT route B2 (West Edmonton Mall - Bonnie Doon via U of A) is coming, and it means big changes to 82 Avenue: reduced traffic lanes, removal of on-street parking from 109 to 91 St, and new transit lanes. Two design options are on the table and your input matters. If you have concerns about deliveries, parking, signage, construction timing, or accessibility now's the time to speak up.

BIG drop of bus lane options for Whyte Ave, we gotta make sure that the City knows we want faster and more reliable buses on one of Edmonton's busiest transit corridors If you want to get involved: 🏛️ Show up to the townhalls 📝 Fill out the survey 📧 Email your councillor All links in our bio

whyte ave bus lane options just released, how you can help!

On May 12, the Urban Planning Committee will be discussing bus fleet renewal. This project is CRUCIAL. Without it, we risk losing 13% of our entire bus service, leaving tens of thousands of Edmontonians cut off from public transit.
