one of the best teachers I ever had told me the reason kids learn easier than adults is because kids don't worry about messing up the way adults do, so kids learn because they actually spend time familiarizing themself while learning from their mistakes. this helped me learn new skills!

i've struggled with perfectionism my whole life and "I can't do it unless it's good from the start" has kept me from starting SO many projects. It's been a lot easier now that I can go "well literally anything I do will be better than THIS" has really helped my confidence

in this moment, i find myself simultaneously cautious of a cultural trend toward emotionally harmful criticism when there is social proximity, and feeling like people should be /more/ willing to be negative when critiquing art with significant capital or power behind it.

Found this in the "jadecomic" folder where we put all the Deckstacked stuff. Filename suggests it's probably to be used in the event of a 404 error once the website's up and running. The tricky part is that I didn't make this panel, and Jinx doesn't remember it either.
