This is the darkest timeline.

Betnijah Laney-Hamilton reflected on her career in New York with the Liberty with an instagram post. "To the fans thank you for supporting me, believing in me, and staying by my side through it all. I love and appreciate you all more than you know. 🩷"

The New York Liberty have won the 2026 Commissioner's Cup championship, becoming the first repeat champions since the in-season tournament launched in 2021 Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart (the latter a 3x Cup champ) were stellar with a combined 51 points

This is awful, and also such an obvious outlier in the joyousness of these celebrations, and assuming someone hasn't already done a GoFundMe (I haven't seen one yet) hopefully awareness leads to someone with the means and strong Knicks connection hooking this guy up.

‘I’m Thinking of Quitting,’ Says Cab Driver Bashed in Knicks Brawl

The 59-year-old Algerian cabbie, who became a target of wild mobs outside MSG after Game 4, spoke to a reporter for the first time.

The officiating annoyed me last night, but there are like five things we can control that are higher on the list of why we lost. The turnovers, the defense, the dumb fouls we did commit, the lack of movement on offense, the inability to hit shots in the fourth quarter.

A reminder that when Trump attended the US Open final back in September, they had to move back the start time multiple times and at one point paused secret service screening, causing ticket holders to miss a significant portion of the match. Imagine the mutiny if Knicks fans miss tip-off.

Trump’s narcissism is transforming an epic NYC occasion into a total nightmare for fans. TSA-style screenings, two hour wait to enter etc etc

Announcement from the knocks/ “As we move closer to Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night, Madison Square Garden and the United States Secret Service want to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all ticket holders by sharing important security procedures that will be in place.
A strict no-bag policy will be in effect, and fans should make every effort to limit personal items to an absolute minimum. Fans should expect enhanced security measures when entering Madison Square Garden, including TSA-style screening procedures. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at least two hours before tip-off to allow additional time for screening and entry.
Fans are encouraged to review the complete list of prohibited items before arriving at
https://www.secretservice.gov/prohibiteditems.
There will be no storage available for prohibited items

Entering month 6 of Mamdani's NYC & Robberies are down 11%, Retail theft is down 19%, & Murder is down 21%—all without "Adding 5000 new cops." Instead, he's invested in public safety free childcare, food, and better funded schools. Safer cities come from investing in people—not punishments.

the thing that frustrates me most about Schumer’s stance is that it is impossible to deny that the actions of the leaders of the state of israel are one of the leading drivers of the resurgence of antisemitism rather than Israel serving as a haven for diaspora Jews, it serves as a risk amplifier

Sen. Chuck Schumer at Israel Day Parade: Jews need Israel due to the "constant anxiety" they have knowing "the place where they live could violently expel them at any moment—as happened again and again."

Marine Johannès' confidence was shot after last season. It took her until January to start to feel like herself again. On her journey back to being "The Wizard" and how the Liberty are reaping the benefits of her new vibe nypost.com/2026/05/12/s...

The Liberty are reaping the benefits of Marine Johannes’ new vibe

Marine Johannès can often be her own harshest critic. It’s something she’s actively working on: Staying even-keeled through the inevitable ups and downs of the season.

I think we’re ready for every company to replace their peer review system with one question. “Does this person produce AI slop? • Never • Rarely (or Almost Never) • Sometimes (or Occasionally) • Often (or Frequently) • Always (or All the fucking time)”

If you have suddenly unlocked a superpower that allows everyone you employ to be 2x (4x, 10x, whatever) more efficient and your response is to lay off a bunch of people instead of *doing more stuff*, why do you even run a company?

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

Why is a Dem politician calling Nixon and Reagan "our toughest presidents" anyway? Nixon was a fucking maniac. Reagan ducked out of fighting in WW2 and as president declared war on Grenada, an island with like 50 people on it. Why are Dems so fucking stupid about messaging? It drives me insane.

Khanna on Fox News Sunday: "Our toughest presidents -- Reagan, even Richard Nixon -- never threatened to blow up other people. We never threatened to blow up the Vietnamese people or the Russia people. It's just not who we are as Americans."

I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries. Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.
