Been trying my hand at doing some maze generation: nofuss.co.za/toys/java_ma... - built with wasmcoffee.com of course...

Software developer/engineer/clown, annoys Go and Odin compilers to no end. Sometimes builds stuff that runs. Still uses Pascal, proudly.
Built a little demo at nofuss.co.za/toys/java_ma... for wasmcoffee.com. It's plain Java syntax, compiled to web assembly. Records feel like such a cheat, my code is a lot less verbose and simpler to reason over.
If LeBron or Taylor Swift posted this most recent El Niño historical temperature graph (current one in red) 500 million people would be in the streets. (And a hundred million lives would likely be saved in the next 20 months) #ClimateCrisis
What happens when you have a wasm compiler for Pascal and you slap a new frontend onto it... wasmcoffee.com I really shouldn't be left unsupervised.
WasmCoffee — In-Browser WebAssembly Compiler with Java-Inspired Syntax
A client-side WebAssembly compiler in your browser: Java-inspired code to Wasm-GC, no server, no JVM. Canvas 2D and console output.

I’m sorry, but if you bring an iced coffee - or any damn beverage at all - to a job interview, you’re disqualified. It’s not hard, people.

WasmPascal Tutorials | Learn Pascal in the Browser
A fifteen-lesson Pascal tutorial for WasmPascal, the in-browser Pascal to WebAssembly compiler: start from your first program and work up to records, pointers, units, objects, classes and the canvas a...

#pascal in action via wasmpascal.com. I'm working on a little something more complicated, to really push the compiler.
WasmPascal can now be self-hosted. Find out how at github.com/ewaldhorn/wa.... All you need is a static server. Ideally something with the CORS config you need to run the worker threads. Or you could do what I do and host it offline via http-server. After all, local IS lekker 😂
New video: a candid look at Free Pascal and Lazarus — strengths, weaknesses, and the rough edges we don’t always talk about. What’s your personal “good/bad/ugly” list? youtu.be/VQzhZwhq8XM

Used #Pascal to update My Paddock. The games lives at nofuss.co.za/games/mypadd... and the source code is on github.com/ewaldhorn/wa... of course.
Been playing with WasmPascal and redid an older toy of mine in #pascal - nofuss.co.za/toys/pascal_... - compiled to wasm and with some hand-rolled JavaScript.
This was published in '96, I got it a year or two later. For close to 30 years, Norman E Smith has been a faithful companion in my interpreter and compiler experiments. How I wish I could tell him that his work had such an influence on me!
nofuss.co.za/blog/wasm_pa... - Turns out that handling files in #webassembly in #pascal is not as simple as when running locally. Fortunately, it's not that difficult either. The trick is to let the browser do the work, whether it's input or output. As per usual, linear memory comes into play.
Processing CSV Files in WebAssembly with Pascal | Ewald Horn
Learn how to handle file I/O in WebAssembly using Pascal and WasmPascal: accept a CSV file from JavaScript, parse and sort records in Pascal WASM, and trigger a browser download.

The post at nofuss.co.za/blog/wasm_pa... shows how to compile a simple #Pascal function to a Wasm module, using just your browser. I really should have started with this tutorial, but I was way too excited to get things going!
New post on my site about how to build this game in #Pascal for #WebAssembly nofuss.co.za/blog/buildin... Yes, that's Pascal driving an HTML5 canvas game in 2026. I should be locked up somewhere for this 😂
People are still engagement farming with this and I couldn’t be happier about it. 😂
imho no organization should be allowing opus to be on the model menu for their employees. let them use fable, sure. but there is zero reason to permit opus 5 usage when sol is 20/mtok.
I can finally talk about this, 3 years later... github.com/tailscale/ta... It's a library + CLI tool that's like netcat, but over Tailscale's data plane without any control plane (no accounts, no dependence on Tailscale the company, all open source) WireGuard + NAT traversal without IP addresses.
GitHub - tailscale/tailcat: like netcat, but over Tailscale's data plane, without Tailscale's control plane

I was just talking to a friend today about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - new books every month, totally for free, for kids ages 1-5. My son was part of the program - this is a copy of the letter that came with his last book, right after his 5th birthday.
I finally managed to get wasmpascal to output a standalone archive, so you can distribute whatever you build with it easily. This is a #pascal clone of a popular DOS-era game. Made with nofuss.co.za/games/breako... and then exported as a standalone archive, served via a static http server.
The most frequently asked question I got so far was why don't I have TP colour for my #pascal experimental environment. Well, now it's there! nofuss.co.za/wasmpascal/ - Switch to a nostalgic theme quickly and easily.
Made some updates to nofuss.co.za/wasmpascal/ - my free #webassembly #pascal compiler and experimental environment. Updated the CRT support a bit, and the code editor is a bit friendlier. Still got lots to do of course, but the online help got some attention, so you should able to do stuff easier.
Pascal, in the browser. It's like 1992 all over again 😂 nofuss.co.za/wasmpascal/
nofuss.co.za/muspel/ide.h... is a simple online editor and interpreter that uses an Odin-like script to drive animations in the browser. Written in Odin, of course!

Played with a compiler written in the Odin programming language last night. It compiles Pascal to wasm. I made a breakthrough and got swept away : nofuss.co.za/games/minesw... - Odin really brings back the joy of programming in so many ways!
Pascalsweep: Minesweeper Written in Pascal & WebAssembly
