Last year, Vance Boelter shot and killed a Democratic state rep and her husband. He was sentenced this week to consecutive life sentences. Maybe now’s a good time for some accountability for the Republicans who peddled disgusting conspiracy theories about the slayings?
Ossoff: "The price of admission to the president's service seems to be proof you're willing to lie for him. Maybe you saw Jay Clayton refuse again and again under oath to affirm Donald Trump's defeat in 2020, or Pete Hegseth ... There's something uniquely despicable about lying a nation into war"
I feel like bringing back the guillotine for a certain kind of hyper-wealthy fuckhead would at least stop these assholes from saying this stuff in public.
Very cool that Shopify’s CEO thinks the poor should have far less of a vote than the rich. Still worth that ad read money, folks?

@jeffcannata.bsky.social finally got to watch Nirvana the Band the Show the Movie now that it’s on Hulu and never has there been a more glowing example of why living the unsullied life can be great. What a whirlwind of pure joy. Your enthusiasm was not unwarranted. What a blast!
Stunning is putting it mildly
NEW: In a stunning admission, the Trump administration admitted in court documents that it canceled billions in energy grants to states "based solely" on politics -- and whether that state was represented by Democrats and backed Harris in 2024. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/b...
An unrepentant draft dodger cynically putting self-serving words into the mouths of fallen soldiers. This should be career ending. Instead, it will barely register.
Trump on fallen US troops: "All of them said very strongly, 'We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.'"

I've been a fan of this podcast since the beginning, but I'm here today to let you know dear reader, that this episode is an all-timer ✨ Especially if you're something of a scientist yourself 😉 Bravo @acarboni.bsky.social and @jeffcannata.bsky.social youtu.be/eWgBkBBnlDg?...
The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.
The point isn't a pathetic lunatic embarrassingly spewing more rambling lies about an election he lost. The point is an entire poltical party lining up behind him, bending the knee, kissing the ass, and selling their souls along with the soul of democracy.
The documents Trump cited don't even make his case - and actually refute much of it. But that didn'tg matter. No foreign regime, no spies, no saboteurs have yet matched the damage that America’s own president just did tonight to faith in U.S. elections. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
Trump Just Did More Damage to Elections Than China
His speech was a mashup of charges that aren’t supported by the documents he released.

The news is always "This absolute fool was dismantled in hearings today. He is manifestly unqualified for the position and would be an existential danger if confirmed. Disaster. He is set to be confirmed immediately." When you ask why everyone is furious and exhausted all the time, this is why.
Epstein survivors released this video today urging senators to block the confirmation of Todd Blanche for Attorney General. They’re trying to get to 20,000 signatures on their petition to send a message to the Senate. ujoin.co/campaigns/45...
Four years ago, Biden gave a speech warning about the dangers to democracy and the networks refused to air it because it was "political." I wonder if Trump making a partisan case for relitigating the 2020 election and calling for his political opponents to be jailed is going to be "political" too?
As has been the case for six years any news outlet taking trump live thursday night after he said he’ll lie about the 2020 election and the legitimacy of georgia’s senators is explicitly endorsing that lie as a legitimate opinion
Listening to @jeffcannata.bsky.social speak to my soul. It’s true. It’s not just the gaming industry. There is a disease infecting the American work force. Everyone at the top wants more for less and you and I are the ones to carry the load and pay the price. Jeff with a god damn bullseye here.
This week, Brendon Bigley (@bb.wavelengths.online) joins us to work through the massive layoffs at XBOX, discuss Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Meccha Chameleon & more!
An absolute staple of my childhood. Loved this show and this man so much.
Oh shit they got Yan Can Cook episodes on YouTube. Legends of PBS right here
Donald Trump is mentally deranged. He’s a danger to the U.S. He’s a danger to the globe. He does not belong in this position of power—in control of the massive U.S. military—and he should be removed from office. This is not a joke. And his GOP enablers are responsible for abdicating their duty.
This is what is possible if your country doesn’t suck ass.
From ‘Outstanding’ and a good reminder that investing in the arts is a win-win, not a lose-lose, proposition.
I had this one. It’s truly one of the greatest comic covers ever, imho.
I'm so disillusioned, I almost don't even care who gets the FIFA Peace Prize next year
Re: *Xbox's FIFTH round of layoffs since spending almost 70 billion on a single acquisition, today's tune of 3200 layoffs* -- I can't shake the feeling today that, while things have been fucking AWFUL for a long time, we crossed a very real invisible line. Idk when the beginning of the end was, but

This episode of We Have Concerns w/ @acarboni.bsky.social & @jeffcannata.bsky.social is amazing! The story of a kid who stumbles into a physics discovery while making ice cream, then struggles to get anyone to believe him. But he gets the last laugh... through #science!
Microsoft is laying off 4,800 workers today. Its CEO made $96.5M in 2025, a 22% increase from the previous year. Microsoft made $101B in net income last year — and raked in up to $12.5B in tax breaks from Trump's Big Ugly Bill. This is what a rigged system looks like.
