We had an incredible time at the #DynamicCellVI conference! Our lab showed up almost in full force, contributing 4 posters, 3 flash talks, and 1 selected talk. It was fantastic to share our work and to see such strong interest and engagement from the community.

Interactive Guide to Creating Your Lab Handbook

So you want a lab handbook?Welcome! If you’re reading this, you probably want your lab to have a handbook. Perhaps you ended up here after hearing about how lab handbooks can improve group culture and help people do better research. Maybe you’re not sure about how to do it, or are daunted by the process; it’s a lot of work after all! We hope this resource will guide you through the process, so you can focus on actually creating your handbook, rather than worrying about how to do it.We made this resource based on our experiences working with multiple pilot lab groups in the University of York Biology Department. Through doing this, we tried to make it accessible to groups of different sizes, who work on different topics in a variety of ways. You don’t have to be a principal investigator (PI) or line manager yourself this resource is for anyone who wants to create a lab handbook with others in their group regardless of role, experience or career stage.

"Your article has been published" 🎉 We found there's a sweet spot of GSK-3β activity required to keep axonal microtubules bundled in 🪰🐀. Too much/little affect how Tau and Shot associate with microtubules leading to microtubules that loose bundling and resemble a bowl of cooked spaghetti 🍝

Both MRC and BBSRC responsive modes now withdrawn until further notice. Existing applications unlikely to succeed (late 2025 round expecting 1-5% success rate). Listen, I get that UKRI wants to pivot. But killing both at once is devastating. Let's hope at least one opens by summer... #AcademicSky
