Didn't we have a few years of panic over antisemitism in the Labour Party under Corbyn? Anyway, the Tories have a literal neo-Nazi running for local council, backed by Badenoch, but he's no longer an *antisemitic* neo-Nazi because he says he supports Israel

Like Jeremy Clarkson, there was nothing interesting, subversive or analytic about the way Rod Liddle thought or wrote. He was just an unreconstituted posh cunt. Unlike Clarkson, Liddle never made another person laugh in his life.

The British Press: “He was simply an inimitable wit and raconteur, who lit up the pages with his silver-tongued prose.” The raconteur in question: “I am a paedophile.”

read that New Yorker article about a bit flip causing an airbus A320 to go into free fall. but baffled at the conclusion of one of the interview subjects that the article is based off claiming that they would swear off JetBlue flights specifically... wouldnt it scare you out of flying at all??

Personally lockdown was awesome. What do you mean I get paid to stay at home and go on the computer. I just don't like the way that the world irrevocably changed afterwards

a lot of what the right does nowadays is create an emotional support system for bigots. bigotry will offend and alienate people in your life, so the right looks provides a counterweight that lavishes you with praise.

I'm married to a scientist so get fairly frequent reminders of the gulf between layperson and expert [even she doesnt class herself as one] but covid really outed how many people got a C in GCSE biology and assumed that was enough to challenge authority
