Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

My embalmer told me zombies keep eating his paramedics so I asked how many paramedics he has and he said he just calls the emergency line and they send an ambulance afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding paramedics to zombies and then dispatch started crying.

LRP - i think abt this a lot but in an optimistic way. people are always growing up. they always need stories. the lessons and themes we may feel tired of are always relevant. a story that retreads your inspirations is still important.
