This interview isn't for voters. It's to reassure donors that their priorities are the priorities of the Democratic party. Jeffries, Schumer, and the establishment Democrats only care about their own personal comfort, and donor money is key to that. DSA upstarts make donors nervous.

The Democrats' comfort comes from the status quo. Primaries from the left are a greater threat to their wealth, power, and the comfort that they derive from them than fascist death squads rounding up non-white people in the street.

I've seen a lot cross my feed about "progressives." It's a meaningless label. What specific beliefs or policies does one hold to become a progressive? A fascist believes might makes right and in-group supremacy. Communists believe workers are entitled to all they create. What about progressives?
