I am a scientist, professor, amateur musician, amateur photographer. I'm a grateful escapee from Twi[X]tter. I block all synthart/AI art. Professional web site: dyerlab.wordpress.com

One thing I’ve noticed about primary races this year. Strong male Maine accents are apparently awesome but strong female Michigan accents are horrendous. This isn’t true, of course but it is something to see how ppl are dazzled by male American accents and turn around and mock female ones.

i'll have to check out morris katz. it is just so shocking to me that the two people in the interview had so much influence because they seem so trite, & look what they've done to 'democrats' & to the state of maine. i mean, how on earth does something like this happen?

Right now there is a growing financial scandal in the Platner campaign. They took in millions of dollars and it's unclear where it all went and how Morris Katz was paid and how much. Same with Dan Moraff. They have a lot of 'splaining to do.

"I am amazed how his voice changes over the course of this brief interview – going from bassoon to oboe in a matter of seconds" i *love* this description because i played oboe in high school band & my sister played the bassoon. memories. 😂 👍 his voice was so odd. they were creepy!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the World Cup. I have loved cheering for the US team. Then that fucker intervened. Yes, the red card was excessive, but I would rather lose because of it than win because Imbecile called FIFA. The joy is gone. Now we’re the bad guys. He destroys everything.

At the end of the term I asked my college creative wriing students to submit anonymous thoughts on AI. No real surprises: Mood ranges from resignation to despair, capitulation from embittered erosion of standards to total, feelings of betrayal from deep to furious. 1/
