🍪 There's one thing we can all agree on: we're fed up with misleading cookie banners. 🚫 And we finally have a chance to get rid of them! 💡 The solution? Simple! Express your privacy preferences once, for example via your browser or device, and have them respected permanently.

A banner saying "It's time to kill the cookie banner".

We solved the recent regression in compatibility with a small subset of banking apps. It was caused by a Zimperium anti-tampering SDK checking the Linux kernel mount ID for /system/framework/framework.jar and banning it being above 900. Our new secure spawning was tripping it.

Google switched to a performative Android Security Bulletin system with vulnerabilities listed 2-4 months after they're shipped. They're pretending as if not open sourcing patches protects people from OEMs not patching them. Our community has people successfully reverse engineering binary patches.

Just do it. For two distinct reasons: 1. Your data moves to Europe. 2. The act of migrating is educational: It’ll help you understand what the AT protocol is and why it’s a hugely promising technology. If you’re in the business of knowledge, broadly conceived, ignore #atproto at your peril.

Move to Eurosky today - hosted in Europe, governed by European law, open to everyone Use Bluesky as normal: your data & your connections all stay the same. Our commitment: we will never sell your content, your data, or profile you for advertising. move.eurosky.tech

So now there are two main European atproto providers (PDS and client), one is open source and one is closed source. Very concerned that the EU talks about how important OSS is, and then they pick the closed source one :/
