Okay genuinely asking— what does accountability look like for Holden Thorp and Hank Green? What I’d like to see: I’d love if @holdenthorp.bsky.social set a clear journalistic standard at SCIENCE and prohibited the use of LLMs for researching, writing, and editing publications at SCIENCE.

So in the last two weeks EIC of Science and a famous science communicator have lost massive amounts of credibility because of their reliance on LLMs... Some examples of how to lose trust with your audience to share with my students I guess.

Thank you, @heydebigale.bsky.social , for both showing your vulnerability/humanity and taking an active (well earned) leadership role on this (demonstrating for all of us your integrity in your book writing process). We appreciate you!

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

While I have LOVED every session I have gone to so far at #BCCE2026, some big highlight ones for me are: 🦩Decolonizing chem ed 🦩Educating for a sustainable future 🦩Embracing neurodiversity 🦩Alternative grading systems 🦩Impact staff have on chem PhD student education, wellness & prof development

This was one of the best presentations at #BCCE2026 & it has me thinking about what decolonizing chem ed (& research) means. Although I share a different philosophical background than the speaker, I do think it is important to think about the ethics of our work beyond cost & environmental impact. 🙏🏽

Going to my first @bcce2026.bsky.social conference tomorrow & I am both so nervous & excited. I learned about BCCE back in 2014 but the first one I get to attend is in 2026. I look forward to learning & connecting with others there. 💙🙏🏽 #AnyBCCEAdviceIsAppreciated #FeelLikeIAm24AllOverAgain

English and French players huddle together after the match. With only a couple of exceptions, the camaraderie and fair play this World Cup has been exemplary!

Right! Furthermore, the OMB has to read & respond to all new comments (this slows them down, forces them to engage with the potential impact of these policies). And additionally, a strong showing by the public tells politicians we care about this and so they pay attention and care more too.

For folks asking why bother commenting because the OMB won't care: comments help build cases for the courts by explicitly laying out harms. That's why it's really important to have your comments be as specific as possible. Also, contact your senators and reps! They actually do care about this.
